SCENIC TEXAS, INC. is a
non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of
our state's visual environment. Texas experienced unprecedented economic
growth during the automobile era and has developed a vast highway network
as a result. However, not enough attention has been paid to the view from
our roadways and our national image is suffering as a consequence. The
perceived quality of life in much of Texas is considered substandard.
Scenic Texas is committed to restoring a positive image and preserving the
