A wooded subdivision north of FM1488, off Old
Conroe-Magnolia Road, combines the pleasures of the country with the
practicality of living near amenities.
Each of the 100+ residences on five to ten acre lots is fronted by white
three-rail ranch style vinyl fencing, giving the subdivision a uniform
appearance. Developed as an equestrian subdivision, Red Oak Ranch's
residents have access to riding/walking trails along the front of the
properties. Lead by the ROR Equestrian Group, the subdivision is
presently constructing a horse arena amenity.
Red Oak Ranch has an elected Board of Directors and an appointed
Architectural Control Committee. Serving as the property management
company, Association Management, Inc. provides assistance to the
volunteer board and committee members in upholding building and deed
restrictions and performing the general operating business of the
subdivision. Additional information regarding ROR, including the
subdivision’s deed restrictions and an ACC Property Owners Guide, can be
found on the ROR website at www.redoakranch.org.
Living in Red Oak Ranch allows residents to escape the bustle of city
life and come home to a friendly community with access to city amenities,
while still being able to interact with area wildlife, be surrounded by
trees, and enjoy the feel of country living.

A beautifully wooded, deed restricted community of one hundred and
forty-two two to five acre lots that has maintained that country
atmosphere. The equine friendly subdivision provides property
owners access to a large community park which includes a fishing lake,
playground equipment, horse riding arena, paved parking lot, and a
covered pavilion and picnic tables built by resident volunteers.
Several miles of nature trails are available for walks or horseback
riding and the almost three miles of light traffic paved roads provide an
excellent biking or running path. The many white, three-rail
horse fences throughout the subdivision gives it a very appealing
curbside appearance. Local water and natural gas supplies are
available to all properties.
The subdivision has a board of directors and an architectural control
committee, which are elected annually by the property owners. Principal Management
Group of Houston provides assistance, as needed, to the volunteer board and
committee members.
We’re proud of the friendliness and beauty of our subdivision. Please come and
visit!

The Westwood Subdivision is
located on both the southwest and the northeast corners of FM 1488 and FM
2978. It is made up of 4 sections that are organized under a single home
owner's association known as the "Westwood Landowner's Association".
Westwood is one of the older subdivisions in the area having been formed
just prior to the oil bust in Houston. As a result, it was mostly
stagnant for years until the home owners took over the association in
1993. Since then, its 3 pools have been resurfaced and the associated
bath houses have been rebuilt. A large pavilion was also built that
doubles as a basketball court and a meeting place for the association at
large. A childrens playground with swings, slides and picnic tables was
created in section 3. In addition, a new office was built within the
subdivision and a full time office manager and courtesy patrol driver
were hired. Two full time contractors are paid to maintain the pools and
common areas and watch over new construction in the subdivision. There is
also a volunteer Architectural Control Committee to approve/disapprove of
new construction. The water system in section 3 and 4 was taken over by
the community and is now one of the best water companies in the area. The
Westwood Landowner's Association also puts out a quarterly newsletter to
keep its members up to date. There is a single annual meeting as well as
quarterly update meetings for the general membership. The association is
fully computerized and has a web site at
www.westwoodloa.org.
For additional information, the association's office can be contacted at
(936) 321-1414 or via email at
westwood3@consolidated.net.
