June 15th at 7:00 pm
The E1488CA's annual general meeting will be held June 15 at 7 pm at Bear
Branch Junior High School, 31310 FM 2978. State Representative Rob Eissler
and County Commissioner (Precinct 2) Craig Doyal will be the speakers.
State Representative Eissler will speak about the school tax bill recently
passed by the State legislature and other legislative issues including
property taxes and Commissioner Doyal will address area road issues
including the widening of FM 1488 and the work beginning on Fish Creek
Thoroughfare. Both will answer questions from the audience as time allows.
The public is invited. Bring a friend!
November 10th at 7:00 pm
Urban
District Forester John Warner will be the main speaker at
the Thursday, November 10 Save Our Trees roundtable discussion hosted by
the East 1488 Community Association at Bear Branch Junior High School at 7
p.m. The public is invited to attend and read and sign the Save Our Trees
petition. The E 1488 CA intends to send the petition to area businesses and
developers asking them to save as many trees as possible and to
re-landscape extensively after they finish building.
Anyone
interested in helping with letter writing or contacting businesses is urged
to attend.

Next E. 1488 CA Directors' meeting: Monday, Nov. 7 at 7 pm at the
Westwood Offices Board Room.

Road Bond Informational meeting, September 1, 7 pm, Bear Branch Junior High
School. Commissioner Craig Doyal and County Engineer Mike Beitler will be
on hand to answer questions.
August 22nd at 7:00 pm
The next
meeting of the East 1488 Community Association (E-1488) Drainage Committee
will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 22, 2005, at 406 Macintosh,
Magnolia, TX. This is the POA building for the Westwood subdivision.

Commissioner Craig Doyal and Sheriff Tommy Gage will be the featured
speakers at the annual general meeting of the East 1488 Community
Association Thursday, May 26 at 7 pm in the Bear Branch Elementary School
cafeteria.
The public
is invited to this special meeting that will include the most
up-to-date information about the widening of FM 1488 and the changes
Sheriff Gage has made and continues to make to the Sheriff's
Department, and how they are affecting the FM 1488 area.

Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District General Manager Kathy Jones
and County Commissioner Craig Doyal will be the featured speakers at the
next E 1488 CA meeting scheduled for February 17, 7 pm at Bear Branch
Junior High School, 31310 FM 2978 . Both speakers will answer questions
from the public after their talks.
